Juntendo University International Medical Practitioners Education ProgramAs globalization of medical care in Japan progresses, the medical needs of non-Japanese patients will require more doctors with international backgrounds. The International Medical Practitioners Education Program will provide doctors with non-Japanese medical licenses with the knowledge necessary to obtain a Japanese medical license and apply their international perspective to the Japanese medical landscape.

Juntendo University International Medical Practitioners Education ProgramThis program is a six-month program consisting of recorded lectures, seminars, and workshops. The core of the program is the mandatory course (required lectures) taken by sixth-year students at the Faculty of Medicine, which aims to solidify knowledge through seminars led by faculty and workshops among students. The mandatory course is designed to develop the ability to explain the pathophysiology, diagnosis and differential diagnosis, important epidemiology, and treatment strategies for each disease, as well as to understand the key points and contraindications of the national examination through the required items of the national examination syllabus. The goal of completing this program is to acquire the basic qualities and abilities, clinical knowledge, and clinical skills required of physicians working in Japan. By learning about Japan's highly regarded healthcare system in practice, participants will deepen their understanding and cultivate a broad perspective.
